Edward Graham

Edward Graham was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. His parents were Edward and Alpha Graham (Showers). Edward was raised in Chicago, and he had three brothers; Robert, Richard, and Donald, and a sister named Doris. Growing up, he enjoyed riding bikes and swimming.

Except for a year at the Indian school in Tomah, Edward went to school in Chicago, where he enjoyed spelling and arithmetic.

When he was young, Edward liked to play baseball. One of his happiest memories as a child is winning a coaster wagon.

As a young man, Edward served in the C.C.C.  There, Edward learned to build roads and reservoirs.

Edward met his wife-to-be Joyce at a friend’s house, and they married. Together, they had two children, Ronald and Janice. Joyce passed on in after 58 years of marriage. They now have four grandchildren. Their names are; Lisa, Ashley, Jenna, and Adams.

Edward also entered the military; his basic training was completed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Edward is proud of the fact that he is a 30 year Union man, retiring after having been President of the Chapter. Even after retirement, Edward was an active member in the Retirees Local Chapter 6 U.A.W., serving as vice-Chairman.

Edward has traveled many states and Canada, and enjoys playing poker machines in his spare time. He has some good advice for the youth of today, and that would be "Attend school and pay attention."
