Manage the daily workflow processes for casino advertising which would include both traditional and digital media. Also need to ensure schedules are being met for timely delivery of all advertising, signage and collateral materials, plus managing all PR efforts, community partnerships, sponsorships and trade shows. 


  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
  2. Must submit to a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB).
  3. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening.
  4. Must be flexible with schedule to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
  5. Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities.
  6. Must have a positive attitude and provide a teamwork structure within the department.
  7. Must be willing to enhance self-development and be willing to adapt to change.
  8. Must be willing to attend all applicable training.
  9. Must have demonstrated ability to maintain a satisfactory working record in any prior and/or current employment.
  10. Must be eligible for insurance under the employer's liability insurance.
  11. Must be at least 18 years of age.


  1. High School Diploma or GED is required.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or closely related field from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years of marketing experience which includes traditional media buying, content marketing concepts, and social media strategies is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


  1. Ensures that the highest standards of customer service are maintained in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
  2. Meet with and build relationships with vendors to negotiate and buy media for radio, TV, outdoor, print, small placement, and digital (online, SEO, and PPC), ensuring highest number of people (of predefined target audience) are reached with lowest-priced ad possible.
  3. Plan and maintain media and social media campaigns with marketing, communications, and sales departments, recommending best way to communicate message ( days/times to run ads), and prepare advertising and social media calendars.
  4. Collaborate and build relationships with area chambers of commerce.
  5. Plans and coordinates all trade shows.
  6. Negotiates all corporate and local sponsorship requests, under the direction of the Director of Marketing.
  7. Receives all incoming donation and corporate sponsorship requests, corresponding all acceptance and denial notifications.
  8. Writes annual community investment report.
  9. Works in collaboration with internal creative team to establish timelines that ensure execution of deadlines for all marketing collateral, signage and advertising. Communicate those project details to operating partner.
  10. Ensure timely traffic delivery of newsprint, billboard, radio, broadcast commercials and media buying, including a proficient approval process of adequate copy and final approval by all parties involved.
  11. Responsible for obtaining all legal clearance for contracts, advertising copy, trademarks, etc.
  12. Complete all contracts for tradeshows and sponsorship events (including details for set-up, electric, equipment, etc.). Prepare schedules of work for trade shows and other events and coordinate volunteers from management or other staff. Assure that trade show booths and/or other needed set-up materials are taken care of. Make sure that promotional items are packed and adequate. Must make sure all trade shows are adequately staffed and all staff is properly trained on promotional materials and marketing objectives.
  13. Assist in the creation of promotions that target sub segments of current and potential players to reach each group effectively to incent visits and lengthen stay.
  14. Must be a team player and assist as needed with both on-site and off-site events.
  15. Meets with revenue-generating departments monthly to collaborate on upcoming advertisements to create exposure and anticipation of promotions, specials and events.
  16. Manages the specified advertising budget. Prepares monthly variance reports and maintains department checkbook.
  17. Must attend all training provided by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
  18. Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Marketing Department.
  19. Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities.
  20. Must attend all meetings, as assigned.
  21. Must dress professionally.
  22. Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
  23. Must adhere to the Casino's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment.
  24. Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos and other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.

  1. North Star Mohican Casino Resort is looking for a courteous and friendly individual.
  2. One (1) year of gaming industry experience is preferred.
  3. SECO, PPC and Google Analytics experience is preferred.
  4. Must be a motivated self-starter who is able to lead others by example, while handling multiple projects and tight deadline demands.
  5. Ability to work effectively with various levels of staff.
  6. Must have above-average written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  7. Must agree to the concept of teamwork.
  8. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position as indicated below.
  9. Must be eligible for coverage under the employer's liability insurance.
  10. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin driver's license within 30 days of employment if applicant has an out-of­state driver's license. Must meet and maintain the eligibility to operate a personal or tribal vehicle under the driver acceptability guidelines as established by Mohican Nation Insurance.


  1. Frequently sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands, reach with hands and arms.
  2. Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
  3. Evening and/or weekend is required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
  4. Work environment requires excellent personal hygiene due to working near others, and in an enclosed area.
  5. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus, with the aid of prescription glasses/contacts, if needed.
  6. Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level or in a casino setting with a higher noise level and where cigarette smoke is prevalent.
  7. Work environment is NOT smoke, noise, or dust free.
