Serve the technology needs of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and its related entities.  To work in harmony with the entire IT staff to deliver optimal conditions for North Star Mohican Casino Resort.


  1. Must submit to court records search/background review.
  2. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment screening and health screening.
  3. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening.
  4. Must be flexible with schedule to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
  5. Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities.

  8. Must be willing to attend all applicable training.

  10. Must be eligible for insurance under the employer’s liability insurance.


  1. Associate Degree in a technical computer related program with at least 2 years of experience as a System Administrator or 4 years of experience as a System Administrator in an enterprise network.
  2. MCSE Certification is preferred.


  1. Install, maintain and administer server hardware and related peripherals.
  2. Install and optimally configure operating systems, application and server software, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Office 365, Hyper-V, VMware, and other departmental specific software.
  3. Manage and administer SAN environment such as HP 3PAR and HP Nimble.
  4. Prepares appropriate system documentation.
  5. Administers system-wide backups.
  6. Perform the administration of the Active Directory network.
  7. Create system related procedure manuals.
  8. Create and develop internal departmental reports utilizing current software applications.
  9. Must attend all training provided by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
  10. Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the IT Department.
  11. 11.   Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
  12. Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos and other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.
  13. Participation in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 operations of our data center and support  to our user base.
  14. Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
  15. Required to attend job related, in-service, meetings, and training to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
  16. Must adhere to tribal law and other applicable laws as well as tribal personnel policies and procedures.
  17. May be required to satisfactorily complete an exam or other testing requirement(s) to determine skill proficiency.
  18.   1. Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking and communications including Virtual Desktops & Virtual Servers.
  2. Experience with Cloud Computing environments.
  3. Must have skill in preparing, reviewing and analyzing operational and technical manuals.
  4. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and be able to work effectively under pressure and meet strict time deadlines.
  5. Must have good verbal and written communications skills and ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
  6. Must pass pre-employment drug and health screening.  Must adhere to the Tribe’s Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
  7. Must be eligible for coverage under the employer’s liability insurance.
  8. Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment.
  9. Must be able to meet physical requirements of position.
  10. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required.  Must obtain a Wisconsin driver’s license within 30 days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver’s license.  Must meet and maintain the eligibility to operate a personal or tribal vehicle under the driver acceptability guidelines as established by Mohican Nation Insurance.
  11. Must abide by departmental and organizational safety, testing, and uniform guidelines.


  1. Constant hand movements (repetitive motions: reaching, grasping, holding, use of finger dexterity) with the ability to reach up overhead, and squat down beneath shelves.
  2. Must be able to stand in one area for an extended amount of time.
  3. Occasionally will need to stoop, kneel and or crouch.  Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
  4. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus, with the aid of prescription glasses/contacts.
  5. Work is generally performed in a casino setting with a higher noise level and where cigarette smoke is prevalent.
  6. Evening and/or weekend work is required.  Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
  7. Work environment requires excellent personal hygiene due to working near others.
  8. Work environment is NOT smoke, noise, or dust free.
