Covid-19 Statistics as of December 7, 2021

Cases of COVID-19 are increasing throughout the northern United States and in Wisconsin.  Please avoid large groups.  Please social distance and wear a mask when outside your home.  If you feel sick, get tested for COVID-19, and if you have Covid, stay at home away from others.  Please get a vaccine and a booster dose once you are eligible.

What we know:

  • Washing hands frequently, social distancing (keeping 6 + feet between people), avoiding large groups, and wearing masks are effective tools to stop the spread of disease including COVID-19.
  • COVID-19 vaccines reduced your chances of getting COVID-19 and reduced your chance of being hospitalized or dying if you get Covid.
    • You are 4.9 times more likely to get COVID-19 if you are not vaccinated*
    • You are 10.8 times more likely to be hospitalized from COVID-19 if you are not vaccinated*
    • You are 15.2 times more likely to die from COVID-19 if you are not vaccinated*
