Feeding America and GLIFC reps will talk about the background of the program, share unit numbers and box distribution dates for the 2024 season, and all of the documents we will need filled out to start planning (producer MOU, producer recruitment form, and product availability sheet.)

Shawn Bartholomew is a well-established produce farmer and is an expert on the Produce Safety Rule (PSA).  He helped develop the first Safe Wisconsin Produce food safety program for the state.  I have met this guy a couple of time through PSA trainings… and the man is a wealth of knowledge!  Personally, I’m excited to hear what he has to share about:

How to price your foods, specifically per pound pricing (a new TEFBP requirement this year); and

Wholesale packaging and where to purchase packaging

Dan Cornelius will present on the Value Added Producer Grant (VAPG) – an grant opportunity available now!  Dan is a powerhouse in the Tribal Food world and is advocating daily to change policy to make Tribal producers and Indigenous foods better represented in Wisconsin.

PLEASE feel free to share with anyone you might know that would find this useful!  Maria
